1. Lightweight Design: the Kea has been engineered to be a light weight, comfortable and durable pack with all parts of the design having been carefully considered to ensure no excess or unnecessary materials are used.
The main fabric used is xPac VX07 which has a combination of light weight and high tear-resistance. DWR, 70 denier, Ripstop Nylon face. Black post-consumer recycled polyester X-PLY. 0.25 mil polyester film. 50 denier polyester taffeta backing.
The single strap with alloy hook buckle serves as an extra load compression strap for attaching ropes or jackets on top of the pack.
2 x lightweight PAL system rows provide attachments for the front bungy, front pocket or crampon/ice axe bungy.
Bungy in the vertical climbers configuration provides an ice-tool attachment system. Tool are attached using the alloy toggles which thread through the tool head and the top attachment has an adjustable hook.
Bungy in the horizontal Tramping configuration is ideal for securing your cut down Thermarest or as a quick stow for a jacket.
Side compressions - provide a secure place for walking poles, tent poles or ski carry. The top strap has an SR buckle for extra security. This enables the straps to be wrapped around poles.
Base is tough abrasion resistant 1000D Nylon.
2. Fixed Harness: the fixed, non-adjustable harness saves significant weight coupled with the removable ergonomic 3D shaped framesheet (Airmesh and EVA foam back panel with an framesheet of HDPE and one S shaped Aluminum bar) and 10mm EVA shoulder pads a ensures the Kea is a comfortable wear.
The Kea comes in two back length sizes (medium and large) with each pack scaled to suit.

3. Built in Optionality: the unique and lightweight PAL (Pouch Attachment Ladder system.) attachment system is created from 10mm webbing and Hypalon reinforcing which is both light and strong. Using the toggle attachment system additional components can be added/moved to suit your adventure.
These include the
1. Front bungee - horizontally for tramping mode
2. Bungy in the vertical climbers configuration provides an ice-tool attachment system. Alloy toggle threads through tool head and top attachment is an adjustable cord lock-hook.

3. Water bottle holder - a 500ml water bottle holder designed to attach to the shoulder strap for easy access and comfort.
