Here is a review by Johnny Bissell:
Hi Matt,
I bought a pair of the Twinneedle non-zip gorse chaps from you at the Sika Show recently. I thought I would drop you a quick line and let you know what I think. I have done three hunts in them since purchase in some truly horrible crap. Freshly thinned pines intertwined with gorse and blackberry rate right up there on the ‘crapometer’. Yesterday I carried a 100 pound pig for an hour and then crawled through the above ‘foliage’ with it on my back for another hour. Not one spike did I get in my legs and I got nothing up the chaps and down my boots either. In short, these chaps are so far ahead of any others I have seen and/ or worn it is not funny. Even while still needing to be broken in, the ease of movement and comfort is superb. I really like the gusseted knee. They are quieter than all others and the slimmer fitting cut means that they do not scrape against each other (or me) when walking. The hook keeps them against the boot really nicely too. The top straps are easy to use and do not ‘give’ over time.
Most chaps are too big in the leg with a strap at the bottom to pull them in. I have always thought that gorse chaps could be designed so much better and I initially came to see you to talk about that. I can safely say that you have already done it. When you look at the work and material that has gone in to these it is amazing that they are only a little bit dearer than the competition.
Top marks team. Keep up the good work. Here ends my rave.
Cheers,
Johnny Bissell
