Hip Pad Features:

The hip pad is 1.5 times thicker than the standard issue hip pad.
Shaped to support the lower back and rounded on the ends to better withstand wear and tear.
Secures to the frame with 3" webbing for Alice slots and 2 x 1" webbing with removable ladderlocs and triglides.
Includes 2” ladderlocs on the sides to enable fitting of a “gut belt.”

Shoulder Strap Features:

One-piece 1000D Cordura shoulder strap panel with Airmesh backing.
Reinforced with dual layers of fabric at the base where the QRSB buckle is mounted.
Features two 42-stitch bartacks placed 1.5cm apart for a solid mounting point.
Each strap includes:
- Adjustable sternum slider
- D-ring for radio handsets or hydration cables
- Triglide mounted to a non-adjustable webbing section for strap adjustment at the uppermost mounting point.

Yoke Panel & Harness:

Shoulder straps are mounted to a central yoke panel to ensure durability.
The harness is sewn with a 4cm internal seam, reinforced by three 42-stitch bartacks centrally and on each side for added strength.
Future versions will feature a vertical join covered by 2” webbing with a sewn-through box, similar to the hip pad.

Load-Bearing & Stability:

The upper and lower attachment points are reinforced with a choke hitch of webbing and three spaced bartacks, similar to rappelling anchor points.
The main load is carried by the two vertical straps connecting the yoke panel to the frame's base.
Horizontal stabilizer straps prevent side-to-side play and allow adjustable fit for users of varying heights.
The harness is designed to wrap from the base of your shoulder blades over your shoulder and down across the front under your arms.
A sternum strap is highly recommended to lock the shoulder straps in place and prevent them from sliding off the shoulders.

Underwhelming

The position of the arches of the straps, should ideally be under the top of the frame. This will allow the pack to sit nice and high on the back, and prevent the feeling and pressure of "dragging" the pack from behind. I've encountered this issue with weight beyond 30kg, and due to the simple design it is difficult to harness them lower without crinkling the straps. The wide Alice strap design gets it right.

Fast shipment, great straps

It took almost exactly a week from me placing my order to receiving it. Which might not seem too crazy, but I live in the States and these guys were on it with the shipment. I’ve already done multiple hikes from 3-12 miles (5-20k), and these straps make a world of difference, can’t recommend them enough if you are rocking an Alice pack.
