The design of the suspenders take all the weight off the battle belt and distributes the weight across my shoulders. I the battle belt I use every night for work carries a pouch full of ammunition, a bottle holder that I use for holstering my thermal monocular, a torch, multitool and a large pouch across the lower lumbar for winter gloves, spare batteries and small first aid kit. All this gear adds up, so the suspenders makes it so much easier to haul. I would suggest to anyone ordering a modular style molle belt, ie. battle belt or patrol belt, hunter belt. etc., to go ahead and add the suspenders. You'll thank me later.
I think it does the job but I am a bit worried about the shock chord. That will break with time. Also the aloe clips that hold the strap in place seem good but are not easy to adjust for other gear clothing etc. Also the if nothing to house the strap tail. small points but this is a reasonably pricey item for what it is. Sort that and its a 5.
Excellent for distribution of weight.
